ANZAC Bridge Maintenance Project
Published: May 12, 2016 - Updated: June 22, 2016
The ANZAC Bridge is an icon of the Sydney skyline and an important part of the road network.
It is now fifteen years since the ANZAC Bridge opened to traffic and Roads and Maritime Services is undertaking a maintenance program to ensure its effective operation into the future.
The maintenance project will improve the bridge’s stay cables, maintenance access for parts of the bridge which are currently difficult to access as well as improving the pedestrian fencing.
SAGE Automation is a member of the Alliance undertaking these works on behalf of Roads and Maritime Services. SAGE was invited to form part of the Alliance following similar successful work on the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Our involvement centres around refurbishment and upgrading of the various access systems associated with the bridge.
The Alliance was awarded in two phases, the design phase started in October 2010 and was successfully completed in late 2011. The construction phase is underway and scheduled for completion in the middle of 2013.
