SAGE has been selected by the Commonwealth of Australia to provide sustainment services for a number of sovereign supply support agreements for the Hobart Class Guided Missile Destroyers (DDGs).

SAGE has successfully tendered for seven supply chain standing contracts for the DDGs as part of a panel of supply and support contractors providing materiel and sustainment activities and ongoing through-life support for the following categories:

• General Electrical Components
• Repairable Item Services
• Pumps and Pump Related Parts
• Valves and Valve Components
• Electrical Motors and Electric Motor Components
• General Mechanical Systems.
• Detegasa Equipment

The objectives of the latest these contracts include improvements in the efficiency and effectiveness of procurements for DDG sustainment. The contracts deliver improved value-for-money outcomes for the Commonwealth as well as enabling a closer working relationship supporting sustainment of the DDGs.

These standing offers are also available to support other Royal Australian Navy Classes of Ships and this broader utilisation has now started across the fleet.

The Maritime Sustainment Division’s Plan Galileo introduces the concept of Regional Maintenance Centres (RMCs) around Australia – a collaborative effort, coordinated by Navy, to enable sovereign sustainment support. SAGE will work alongside the Commonwealth and other successful tenderers – primes, local businesses, and suppliers – to deliver naval sustainment.
