In July 2015, SAGE Automation acquired Rowanco Switchboards Pty Ltd. 

With extensive experience in Modular Motor Control Centres (MCC) and Power Switchboard manufacture, the acquisition of Rowanco will expand SAGE Automation’s manufacturing capability to offer a greater suite of switchboard options to our customers nationally.
Modular Power Switchboards and Motor Control Centres, offer a flexible solution that is capable of future expansion whilst achieving fully type tested certification for the Australian and International Markets.

SAGE Automation offers a range of intelligent switchboard solutions which include Power Factor Correction Technology, Power Consumption Monitoring, Renewable Energy Systems and data collection as well as integration with complex control and reporting systems.  

Intelligent switchboards benefit clients with the ability to drill down into their power consumption to identify opportunities to reduce costs as well as monitoring for overdraw of current and pre-failure alerts to prevent breakdown.

SAGE CEO Adrian Fahey sees the acquisition as important in continuing to deliver value to SAGE clients.  “This acquisition is the realisation of our desire to expand our MCC and Power Switchboard offering and will ensure we continue delivering the products and services our client’s value now and into the future.”

Rowanco Managing Director Peter Cock worked closely with SAGE to develop a successful transition plan prior to his keenly anticipated retirement. “I am delighted that our client base, built over 40 years, will see continued high levels of service with SAGE Automation, as well access to additional services such as 24/7 service support of their switchboards. My team are looking forward to joining a company known for the same high level of build standards as Rowanco.” He said.

Rowanco will be relocating to the SAGE Automation Melrose Park premises this month, and we look forward to welcoming the Rowanco team into ours.
