SAGE Automation is passionate about all things automation and robotics, and inspiring the next generation of engineers.

So it goes without saying that we couldn't resist jumping on board to support Jon Heathcote, Regional Manager – Tasmania, and his Metal Minds Robotics Team, who are participating in the FIRST (For Inspiration & Recognition of Science & Technolgoy) Lego League.

The Metal Minds Robotics Team have participated in FIRST over the past four years and during this time, have come very close to winning the National Championships in Sydney, won the "Control Award" for best Control Code on two occasions, placed third in the Inspire Award and received various other awards for their outreach and community involvement.

Now with two progressive teams, they are confident they can take out the World Championships, in St Louis.
