Saab partnered with SAGE for the assembly and construction of the facsimile weapons training consoles for the Australian Navy.
The project consisted of building over 50 weapons training consoles that will be used to train our defence forces in various tactical and combat situations.
Joe Romeo – Project Manager, Saab Australia
So this project here basically involved the design, implementation and installation of the latest emulation training system developed by Saab for the ANZAC class mark 3E combat management system.
The project really needed a local South Australian organisation who was able to collaborate closely with Saab technicians and also had the ability to deliver the large quantity of consoles under a tight timeframe.
Ty
The project consisted of over 1600 man-hours and was delivered entirely from South Australia, using local labour and our in-house procurement and supply chain.

Working with SAGE was a seamless collaboration. We really experienced fantastic communication throughout the delivery of the project and we found that SAGE was willing and able to accommodate the changes required by the project during the assembly phase. So SAGE did a great job and were able to deliver these consoles ahead of schedule and all consoles met their quality assurance checks.
