SAGE Automation has acquired Geelong-based System Integrator, Industrial Control Technology (ICT), to expand its geographic footprint in Victoria.
Founded in 1984, ICT has grown to become a respected business in Victoria’s west, providing engineering services to the resources, manufacturing, heavy industry and life sciences sectors.
The acquisition encompasses all ICT staff, who will continue to service clients from their Geelong base.
For ICT clients, it is business as usual, with the addition of access to the SAGE Service support network, available 24/7 and the support of the SAGE business services.
ICT owners, Mark and Meredith Crittenden are delighted to have found a new home for their team and valued clients with SAGE, as they look to eventually transition into retirement.
“We have always loved our work and the people we engage with. We see this move as an ideal opportunity for us to continue to be involved in the work that we love whilst ensuring a safe and secure future for our staff and clients.” they said.
SAGE Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Adrian Fahey said the two companies have important alignment in their culture.
“It is evident by the trust and loyalty of their long-term clients, that the ICT team share our approach for doing what’s right by their clients and that their team are given the freedom to do just that,” he said.
“I also see a group of professionals who are inspired by life-long learning and driven by the ongoing development of their craft, we look forward to warmly welcoming the ICT team into the SAGE family,” said Mr Fahey.
With strong alignment in capability including system integration, machine and process safety, MES and data analytics, the ICT and SAGE teams will now come together to share knowledge and continue to support our valued customer base.
With the acquisition of ICT, the entire SAGE team of specialists will be available throughout
the Geelong region.
SAGE Automation Victorian General Manager Paul Markwick, who is overseeing the transition, is delighted to add additional skills and a new location to the operation.
“We believe that to best serve our clients, we need to be located where they are, so the addition of the team in Geelong expands our reach to service clients within the region, whilst benefiting from the entire SAGE team of specialist resources across Australia," said Mr Markwick.
